SEO Manager (£40K - £48K DOE)

We're the team iGaming operators turn to when growth matters most — and we're growing fast ourselves. At Receptional, you'll find colleagues who are bright, ambitious, and genuinely supportive. Specialists who do their best work together, sharing ideas, moving fast, and holding themselves to a high bar.

Whether you're starting out or stepping up, you'll get genuine investment in your development through our internal academy, real variety in your work, and a direct impact on some of the biggest names in the industry. Competitive benefits, flexible working, and a team that has your back.

We were named Marketing Services Supplier of the Year at the EGR B2B Awards 2026, and Best Medium Agency to Work For at the Company Culture Awards 2025 — recognition for the work we do and the place we've built to do it.

As SEO Manager you will lead day-to-day delivery across a portfolio of client accounts, operating as the Head of SEO's primary point of operational accountability. You will own campaign strategy and execution, contribute actively to new business, and play a central role in developing the team around you.

This is a role for someone who wants to build — not just deliver. The right candidate will be commercially curious, technically strong, and genuinely excited about where search is heading: AI-driven discovery, generative engine optimisation, and the automation of SEO at scale. They will be comfortable in client-facing situations, willing to travel, and motivated to grow into senior leadership over time.

This is a role with real breadth. You'll be leading the SEO team day-to-day while owning the strategy and senior relationships across a portfolio of iGaming clients. That means being the person the team looks to for direction, the person clients trust at C-suite level, and the person pushing the agency forward on AI and search innovation — all at once.

In practice, that looks like:

Owning SEO strategy end-to-end for your client portfolio — technical foundations, on-page, and authority

Leading the team day-to-day: 1-1s, workload management, delivery standards, and developing the people around you

Running senior client relationships — presenting strategy and performance at C-suite level with confidence

Championing AI and automation across team workflows: GEO, AI Overviews, DataForSEO, Ahrefs, and whatever comes next

Keeping campaigns genuinely integrated with Paid Media, Digital PR, and CRO — not siloed

Contributing to new business pitches and playing a leading role where the opportunity calls for it

Building Receptional's AI SEO proposition — frameworks, thought leadership, and industry presence

Travelling to client sites semi-regularly, including occasional trips to the USA for key accounts

You'll need to be equally comfortable leading a team, owning a client room, and getting into the technical detail of a crawl audit. This isn't a role where you can excel at two of those three — the right person does all of it, and finds genuine energy in the variety.

Essential:

3–5 years' agency SEO experience with strong results across technical, on-page, and off-page

Solid working knowledge of GEO, AI Overviews, and how LLMs surface and cite content

Hands-on with Ahrefs or DataForSEO, Screaming Frog, GA4, and GSC

Genuinely enthusiastic about AI tooling and automation — not just aware of it

Experienced leading or mentoring others — you've helped people grow, not just delivered yourself

Commercially minded: you talk about SEO in business terms and spot upsell opportunities naturally

Confident presenter at senior level — you can hold a C-suite room without a script

Desirable:

iGaming or regulated-sector experience — we'll get you up to speed if not

Experience contributing to or leading new business pitches

Thought leadership output — articles, talks, webinars, or industry presence

How you'll be measured

We're transparent about this upfront. You'll be assessed against client delivery vs target, team utilisation, employee satisfaction within your team, development progress of your direct reports, client NPS, and your contribution to new business wins and upsells. Thought leadership output — events, articles, agency content — also counts. £40,000 - £48,000 depending on experience.
Remote-First Position.

Your Growth, Supported
Defined career pathways, personal development plans, and regular appraisals so you always know where you stand and what's next. Access to mental health first aiders, confidential counselling sessions, a cycle-to-work scheme, and five paid sick days on top of SSP. We take looking after our people seriously.

Time That's Yours
25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) rising to 30 with tenure, your birthday off, flexible working hours, hybrid and remote options, and two weeks working abroad. Enhanced maternity and paternity pay, and work that fits around your life, not the other way around.

A Team Worth Being Part Of
Regular Lunch 'n' Learns, quarterly off-sites, monthly socials, two paid volunteering days, an annual charity partnership chosen by the team, and an AI Taskforce putting innovation in everyone's hands.
