RN Educator (CLIN NURSE EDUC 3)

<strong>Job Summary<br><br></strong>The Health Professions Education Grants team is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join a cross functional team that manages a portfolio of grants. The main goal of this team is to advance interprofessional education, enhance clinician’s knowledge and skills, and facilitate faculty practice development through a portfolio of grants focused on primary care health care workforce, faculty clinical practice development and nursing educators. The CNE will work on multiple workforce development grants, including the implementation of a Department of Labor (DOL) grant: The Residency in Education, Teaching, And Instruction in Nursing (RETAIN) program to increase the number of nursing instructors and faculty.<br><br>The CNE will apply professional concepts and nursing experience to contribute to the planning and development of educational experiences, including didactic presentations, simulations and educational videos. The CNE will ensure timely completion of all project deliverables working under the general supervision of an experienced nurse educator. The CNE will work with experienced faculty in the delivery of educational experiences to grant trainees. The CNE will assist in creating or adapting educational content, setting up systems and/or collecting evaluation data required, this may include evaluation educational experiences. The CNE will also be responsible for the logistical operations of some educational activities working closely with the rest of the Health Professions Education Grants team, faculty and external partners.<br><br>The CNE may also be involved in other programmatic operations including admissions processes. The CNE will work closely with the Project Director, Project Manager and other members of the team to ensure successful implementation of the projects, ensuring to meet all deliverables including reporting requirements. This position is grant funded.<br><br>This 100% contract position is funded through May 31, 2028, contingent upon receipt of the federal award from the funding agencies. Continuation past that date is dependent upon the receipt of additional grant funds.<br><br><strong>Apply By Date: </strong>June 3, 2026 at 11:59pm PST. Interviews may be held at any time.<br><br><strong>Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position<br><br></strong><ul><li>Possession of a valid California RN license.</li><li>Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a BSN.</li><li>Experience as an instructor for entry-level and intermediate clinical nurse educators.</li><li>Experience developing, implementing and adapting evidence-based curriculum and education programs.</li><li>Experience delivering nursing orientation, clinical skills training, simulation-based learning, and structured debriefing sessions.</li><li>Experience in management and presentation skills to organize and guide groups of learners during educational experiences.</li><li>Experience in evaluating nurses’ competencies and clinical skills</li><li>Experience coordinating the logistics and daily operations of educational activities, including simulation scheduling, set-up, and learner flow.</li><li>Experience evaluating nurse trainees’ competencies and clinical skills using validated assessment tools.</li><li>Experience designing, disseminating, collecting and analyzing program evaluations and surveys.</li><li>Experience monitoring learners and their progress including completion of training activities, deliverables and other requirements of the program.</li><li>Experience preparing comprehensive program evaluation reports.</li><li>Experience using Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas) to deliver curriculum and track learner progress.</li><li>Experience with healthcare education management systems (e.g., MedHub, e-Value).</li><li>Experience using web-based survey systems (e.g., Qualtrics).</li><li>Experience in simulation development and implementation including group debriefing.</li><li>Demonstrated experience working with diverse community members representing various ethnic, cultural, language, educational, socioeconomic, and political views.</li><li>Ability to deliver education to diverse learners across professions and levels of experience.</li><li>Strong facilitation skills to lead simulations, interactive learning, group activities, and skill-building.</li><li>Knowledge of adult learning principles to effectively plan, deliver, and evaluate instruction.</li><li>Demonstrated high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong technological competence with databases, spreadsheets, and presentation software.</li><li>Demonstrated project management and administrative support to oversee multiple complex projects and activities simultaneously.</li><li>Knowledge of a broad spectrum of health profession practices and issues, including nursing and that of other health care professions.</li><li>Demonstrated interpersonal skills to provide education and training and to develop positive working relationships with students, clinical staff, faculty and leadership from one’s own profession and others (interprofessional).</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports, project plans, presentations, and convey complex clinical information clearly.</li><li>Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and quickly assess basic problems and develop potential solutions.</li><li>Demonstrated organizational and planning skills to meet deadlines and accomplish projects on time.</li><li>Ability to exercise sound judgment, display tact and diplomacy, and deliver factual information in a timely manner.</li><li>Ability to work effectively and independently under pressure with minimal direction in a fast-paced, results-oriented</li><li>Uphold all university policies and procedures and follow sound business practices.</li><li>Maintain sensitivity to controversial or confrontational issues.
