[Remote] Regional Account Manager- Northeast (REMOTE)

Responsibilities Build and maintain strong partnerships with brokers and clients, serving as a trusted liaison across your assigned territory Manage the licensing and appointment process for all producers while ensuring accurate and up-to-date broker/client information across systems, business plans, and compliance requirements Own the end-to-end account management experience, including identifying growth opportunities, securing additional lines of coverage, and driving retention within your book of business Lead the renewal process, partnering with Sales Executives on strategy, execution, and timely, accurate delivery of all renewal documentation Proactively anticipate and respond to client and broker needs, delivering value-driven solutions and exceptional pre- and post-sale service, including resolving escalated issues Provide account updates, insights, and solutions to leadership and project teams, identifying alternatives and driving effective problem resolution Maintain a strong understanding of group insurance products, benefit offerings, and policy language to effectively support and educate clients and brokers Travel as needed to build and strengthen relationships with brokers, consultants, and clients Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Underwriting, Billing, Eligibility, Claims, and Customer Service to deliver a seamless, high-quality client experience Skills 5+ years of account management experience, ideally supporting strategic partners, national accounts, and high-net-worth clients, with demonstrated success managing large, complex relationships Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Proven ability to manage large, high-volume workstreams in a fast-paced environment while effectively project managing client needs through to completion Experience collaborating cross-functionally to develop client presentations and deliver strategic solutions Strong knowledge of the insurance industry (sales, underwriting, or operations), including a solid understanding of employee benefits (life, dental, disability) and the RFP process Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); experience leveraging AI tools is a plus Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders, partnering effectively to drive outcomes Willingness and ability to obtain a Life and Health License within a specified timeframe Benefits Base salary increases Spot bonuses Short-term incentive compensation opportunities Medical, dental, vision 401(k) plan Paid time off Company Overview Equitable provides consulting services to secure the financial well-being and retirement strategies for individuals and families.
