They are seeking a Principal Product Manager, AI Agents to define and build the core product experience, working closely with founders and teams to shape a category-defining product. Responsibilities Own major portions of Monarch’s product strategy and execution, especially around AI agents, workflows, context, and enterprise use cases Partner closely with founders to translate vision into concrete product decisions, product requirements, and execution plans Work directly with design and engineering to move ideas from concept to shipped product Define user stories, workflows, success metrics, acceptance criteria, and launch plans Shape AI-powered experiences involving Agent creation Agent configuration Agent execution Memory Retrieval Context management Workflow orchestration Permissions Tool access Approvals Trust and governance Drive product discovery through customer conversations, workflow analysis, feedback, and research Identify high-value customer problems and convert them into clear product priorities Define how agents are created, configured, evaluated, monitored, improved, and governed Design product systems for managing Context Permissions Memory Workflows Approvals Tool access Human review Source visibility Execution logs Error handling Collaborate closely with engineering on architecture tradeoffs, implementation sequencing, data-model decisions, and technical constraints Partner closely with product design to make complex AI behavior feel clear, useful, and controllable Develop frameworks for measuring product quality, user success, adoption, engagement, workflow completion, and business impact Work directly with customers to understand how work actually happens inside real organizations Use AI heavily in your own workflow to accelerate research, planning, prototyping, analysis, and execution Help establish product culture, operating principles, and decision-making frameworks as the company scales Skills Exceptional product judgment Experience building successful software products in high-growth SaaS, AI, workflow, developer, productivity, collaboration, knowledge management, or enterprise software companies Experience working on products involving AI, LLMs, copilots, search, automation, workflows, agents, developer platforms, or enterprise systems Strong systems thinker who can understand both user experience and technical architecture Ability to simplify complex workflows without oversimplifying the underlying problem Strong understanding of APIs, Integrations, Permissions, Workflows, Enterprise software, Data models, Product architecture, Agentic systems, AI product failure modes Experience working closely with design and engineering teams to ship high-quality products Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive progress without needing perfect information Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment with significant ownership and accountability Bias toward action and execution Ability to balance long-term product vision with short-term product delivery Experience working directly with founders and executive teams, and possessing an entrepreneurial drive, is a major plus Experience helping scale products from early-stage environments through meaningful growth Experience at one or more of the following types of companies OpenAI, Anthropic, Glean, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Linear, Notion, Retool, Ramp, Stripe, Figma, Intercom, Vercel, Atlassian, Cursor Experience building AI products, Enterprise software, Workflow tools, Automation platforms, Knowledge systems, Developer tools, Productivity software, Search products, SaaS platforms, Agentic products or AI copilots Benefits Meaningful early-hire equity.
