[Remote] Cross-Sell Data Scientist

This role involves partnering with marketing, strategy, and data engineering teams to design tests, analyze performance, and develop machine learning models that enhance customer engagement and business growth. Responsibilities Analyze multi-channel marketing data to identify performance drivers, customer behaviors, and optimization opportunities Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models to improve Customer Lifetime Value and drive cross-sell conversion Partner with marketing and sales teams to design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests, multivariate tests, geo-experiments, and holdout analyses while ensuring statistical rigor Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for business stakeholders Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to support data quality, integration, and accessibility across marketing and sales platforms Monitor fintech and mortgage industry trends, consumer behavior, and regulatory considerations to inform marketing strategies Apply best practices in data governance, privacy, fair lending, and responsible AI/model usage Skills 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, marketing analytics, or a related quantitative role supporting cross-sell, customer acquisition, or lifecycle marketing initiatives Strong proficiency in SQL and Python and/or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and experimentation Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) Experience building and evaluating predictive models and designing statistically sound experiments Familiarity with marketing and customer data sources such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, CRM platforms, paid media platforms, and email marketing tools Strong understanding of A/B testing methodologies, statistical analysis, and performance measurement Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business recommendations for non-technical stakeholders Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field Master's degree or other advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, Encompass, Velocify, or similar CRM and lead management systems Understanding of the mortgage customer lifecycle, lead management processes, and sales funnel optimization Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and data privacy considerations within financial services or mortgage lending environments Company Overview Rate is a mortgage company that provides mortgage-related services and solutions.
