They are seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to design, configure, automate, and support Managed Cloud Environments within Microsoft Azure, focusing on automation, network connectivity, and enterprise cloud operations. Responsibilities Design, configure, automate, and support Managed Cloud Environments (MCEs) within Microsoft Azure Configure and manage Azure virtual networks (VNETs) and establish core cloud infrastructure services Enable Azure environments to function as extensions of enterprise networks Develop automation scripts for Azure resource deployments and environment configurations Utilize native Azure services to support security, resiliency, operational, and technology requirements Lead and support Azure architecture and design processes related to networking, monitoring, identity and access management, and cloud operations Design and implement monitoring infrastructure for cloud availability, performance, and operational health Extend enterprise systems management processes into cloud environments, including incident, change, and problem management Integrate Azure management tooling with enterprise operational processes and cloud governance frameworks Support automation of cloud provisioning, environment spin-up/spin-down, and billing approval processes Design and implement high availability, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions within Azure Install, configure, deploy, and maintain cloud-based servers and enterprise services across multiple operating systems Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and infrastructure teams to deliver cloud solutions Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR equivalent work experience 5+ years of experience architecting, building, and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud solutions Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure cloud services and enterprise cloud infrastructure Experience configuring and managing Azure networking, VNETs, security, resiliency, and monitoring Experience installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based servers and services in enterprise environments Strong scripting and automation experience using one or more of the following PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Bash Experience with cloud provisioning, automation, and infrastructure deployment processes Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), cloud security, and enterprise governance practices Experience designing data protection, backup, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions in Azure Strong verbal and written communication skills Agile and solutions-oriented mindset with experience working in collaborative delivery environments Experience working within SAFe or Agile delivery frameworks Experience integrating Azure tooling into enterprise ITSM processes Familiarity with cloud cost optimization, pricing models, and resource planning Experience with Azure monitoring, logging, and observability tools Azure certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud transformation initiatives Benefits Contract (W2) Remote (United States-based candidates only) Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day (standard business hours) Company Overview Bernard Nickels & Associates is a staffing agency that offers recruitment and staffing for IT, office support, finance and legal sectors.
