We are an integral part of the Sales Intelligence, Technology and Enablement (SITE) team, driven by the overarching goal of transforming Amazon into the preferred media destination for advertisers and partners. To achieve this, we focus on developing sophisticated products tailored for front-line sales teams. These tools empower our sales professionals to effectively identify strategic recommendations, ultimately helping brands flourish within the Amazon ecosystem.

Our work is characterized by a deep understanding of both e-Commerce dynamics and advertising principles. We strive to create seamless connections between these two domains, enabling advertisers to reach their target audiences more effectively and efficiently.

As a Principal Product Manager-technical, you will own creating a multi-year strategy to optimally identify top actionable opportunities for a brand based on their health, retail and advertising performance and goals. You will need to think big and collaborate with science and engineering teams to build scalable solutions that are personalized for each brand based on their business on Amazon. You will succeed in these endeavors by combining your business acumen, product management chops and technical abilities, with your skills in listening, learning and communicating with a diverse group of collaborators. As a senior member of the team, you will lead by example, on how to construct and deliver great products.

Key job responsibilities
  • Define product vision and strategy for strategic brand recommendations, creating a clear multi-year roadmap that guides engineering, science, and design efforts across the organization

  • Own the product definition for closed-loop systems that generate, score, serve, measure, and continuously improve recommendation performance

  • Establish quality and performance frameworks that define success across recommendation quality, advertiser performance, and system efficiency

  • Drive cross-organizational alignment by influencing priorities and building consensus across multiple engineering, science, and product teams

  • Communicate strategic narratives to senior leadership, contributing to planning cycles and helping executives understand the long-term opportunity in strategic recommendations

About the team
Sales AI is a central science and engineering organization within Amazon Advertising Sales that powers selling motions and account team workflows via state-of-the-art of AI and ML services. We are investing in new products that will help sales team members understand where their customers are at in their growth journey and how they can best enable them to become more successful.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience technical product management
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Demonstrated ability to work across technical teams (engineering, data science, design) and translate between different disciplines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
  • Background in AI, machine learning, or optimization systems

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
