Key Responsibilities Supervise daily horticultural operations within smart greenhouse facilities in **Atlanta, Georgia**. Develop and implement detailed cultivation plans for a variety of crops, ensuring optimal growth conditions. Manage environmental control systems (temperature, humidity, CO2, lighting) to maximize plant health and productivity. Utilize sensor data and analytics to monitor plant health, identify potential issues, and adjust cultivation strategies. Oversee propagation, transplanting, nutrient delivery, and pest/disease management protocols. Lead, train, and mentor a team of horticultural technicians and assistants. Conduct research on new crop varieties, growing media, and advanced horticultural techniques. Collaborate with engineers and automation specialists to refine and improve greenhouse technology. Maintain accurate records of crop performance, resource usage, and operational procedures. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and sustainable growing practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agronomy, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in horticultural production, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role. Extensive experience with controlled environment agriculture (CEA), including greenhouse management. Proficiency in operating and interpreting data from smart greenhouse control systems and sensors. Strong knowledge of plant physiology, nutrient management, and integrated pest management (IPM). Experience with data analysis software and tools for horticultural decision-making. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with sustainable and organic growing practices is a plus.
