Job Description

As a Bell Attendant at Fairmont La Hacienda, you will be the first and last impression for our valued guests. Your role is crucial in providing exceptional and personalized service from the moment of arrival to the departure of the guests. You will be responsible for assisting guests with their luggage, providing information about the hotel's facilities and local services, and ensuring that every aspect of their stay is impeccable and memorable.

Responsibilities

· Welcome and greet guests with warmth and professionalism, using the guests' names whenever possible.

· Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and professional attitude at all times.

· Assist guests with their luggage, ensuring it reaches their room safely, personalizing the experience, and using the guest's name.

· Escort guests to their room on foot or by golf cart, when necessary, explain the hotel facilities, and promote additional services (restaurants, spa, etc.).

· Study arrivals, departures, VIPs of the day, as well as other reports necessary for professional fulfillment of daily tasks with the luxury standards expected of a brand like Fairmont.

· Deliver messages, packages, and other items requested by guests.

· Transport guests' luggage from their room to the lobby at the time of their departure.

· Perform parking and retrieval of vehicles for guests following safety and quality standards existing in the hotel, including proper recording of movements and safeguarding of keys.

· Conduct daily checks of cars in the parking lot verified with security to prevent unauthorized vehicles from remaining on the premises.

· Maintain a constant presence at the door desk during shift hours.

· Provide accurate and friendly information about the hotel, its services, and local events.

· Assist with special requests and arrangements for guests.

· Respect the presence, confidentiality, and privacy of guests at all times.

· Work as a team with other departments to ensure a smooth experience for guests.

· Participate in regular training and meetings with the reception, concierge, and guest services teams.

· Address any maintenance or repair needs promptly, informing the relevant departments and acting if necessary.

· Keep the reception area, car, and pedestrian access areas clean and organized.

· Keep the luggage storage area clean and organized.

· Maintain the daily use, cleaning, and handling of buggies, as well as control any damage or incidents caused by or to them.

· Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.

· Monitor and manage office supplies and equipment.

· Complete task checklists within established deadlines.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Driver's license B.

· Preferably 1-2 years in a customer-facing position, especially in a luxury or lifestyle hotel.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
