Employment Type: Full-Time Salary (exempt) Minimum Experience: Experienced Compensation: $61,000 - $82,000 annually Department: Client Operations Job Description: Looking for an accurate and systematic team player who is ready to use their accounting knowledge and analytical ability to delight clients. Do you have at least 4 years of experience with Accounting?      Are you a consistent, reliable, detail-oriented person who has experience with both routine and complex accounting problems?   We would love to connect with a person who is:   team-oriented and comes to work to work accurate, precise, and thorough without being overly rigid an accounting subject matter expert with a continuous learning mindset excited to leverage technology to increase productivity  comfortable evaluating financials - and running down discrepancies when something isn’t right      You will be asked to use QuickBooks Online to perform Accrual Basis accounting.  You will need to follow our month-end close process and prepare financial statements for our clients.     kept.pro is not your traditional bookkeeping firm.  We focus on providing our clients with timely, accurate and complete financial information and the insights they need to be competitive in their industry.      If this describes you, please apply now!     DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES    Performing accounting functions within QuickBooks Online and other platforms Ability to determine effect of accounting transactions based on an Accrual or Cash Basis Prepare the initial draft of monthly financial statements Lead the month end close process Maintain supporting Balance Sheet schedules, for example: Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Expenses, Fixed Asset Schedule, Payroll liability reconciliations Prepare and record month end journal entries Compete the full cycle duties for A/R and A/P Prepare and review payroll Prepare and review Sales Tax Primary communicator with clients Reviewing team member’s work; support Controller in coaching and training less experienced team members  Setting up new technology integrations and troubleshoot any issues  Partnering with a variety of vendors and platforms to complete accounting operations (e.g. expense management software, payroll providers, etc)     SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS    Experience working with multiple clients / entities (>5), across a variety of industries to deliver bookkeeping or accounting services 4+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience An Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; or bookkeeping certification Proficiency working in QuickBooks Online Proficient with accrual accounting, consolidated financial statements, revenue recognition, and executing the month end close process  Analytical thinker that is skilled in creative problem solving and using independent judgment Exceptional attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and finish projects within a specified timeframe Enjoys engaging with clients High level of comfort with leveraging tools and technology to collaborate with remote team members   Reside within a state where we are established (Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Minnesota).
